We had our 20 week ultrasound today! It was so exciting to see our little one bouncing around in there! :) Such a cute little face :) We didn't get wonderful pictures, I think it was moving a little too much. But we did get to see everything we needed to see. Our baby is growing on schedule, at 14 ounces now! All the organs are there and functioning properly, arms and legs, fingers and toes...they're all there :) Here are the pictures

...just getting a "new" one...
So, I haven't posted anything about this yet...I've been really stressed and worried and just wanted to see how it all turned out before I said anything.
There are major changes going on here in Florida with the educational system. Due to the Nation-wide "recession," our school districts are VERY short on money. Our district is at a $21 million deficit for this year alone. "They" say, our district is in better shape than most! UGH. As a result, all the schools are having to take drastic measures to save money. Our schools are cutting many positions at a district level and several positions at an instructional level.
I have mentioned before that I am losing 7 of my 12 students next year because they are moving up to middle school. So, I'm going to have a really small class. There are all kinds of things going on with our school and they are making lots of changes. They have built a new school and our Principal is leaving and going there with half of our staff. Our assistant principal is becoming our new principal and half of our staff is staying here.
With all that said, my job is being eliminated. They are combining my class (3rd-5th Educable Mentally Handicapped) with the K-2nd EMH class. However, they are moving two Autism Spectrum Disorder classes into our school and I am going to be able to teach one of those classes! I am so very excited about getting to work with Autistic students! This has always been on of my favorite groups of kids and I can't wait to get started teaching them!
So, there it is, lots of changes, but answered prayer and new opportunities! Just wanted to let you all know!
Thanks for reading!!!
