I got my hair cut...

So, while in Tennessee, I decided to get a MUCH needed haircut...

Turns out, after 4 years of barely cutting it at all, I had enough to donate it yet again...Just like I did 4 years ago :)

Here's what we did with what I had left...

no time...

No real time to update now...please check out my Mom's blog to see what we've been up to :)

how cool is this?

I just found this website that will make a book out of your blog...
For example, I could make a scrapbook for Camden of this blog and he would have a hard copy of it forever and ever!
I'm impressed! Very impressed! :)

In other news, Camden and I leave in the morning for Tennessee! We are super excited to see everyone there and Camden can't wait to finally meet his Mamaw and Poppa...not to mention his great great aunts and uncles and cousins! Ah...fun times :)

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous about taking a 7 week old baby on a plane! :) However, if we get him started early, hopefully he won't have any problems with it later on. Lets face it, the kid is going to be flying a lot. :)

Don't know if I'll have time to blog from Tennessee, but I'll be armed with plenty of pictures when I get home :)

Meanwhile, David has the yucky job of stay home so he can work and take care of the house and the dogs :(...we are really going to miss him!

The ever popular "sideways glance"

pictures...

Got this picture this morning of my boys cuddling in bed :)

Camden...sleeping in his sweetpeace, as usual! I'm dying to get this kid back in his cradle!

*********************

We all know, by now, I love my baby's toes...we debated, at length, when he was born the fact that they could be "my" toes or "Daddy's" toes because we both have really long toes...

However, David possesses the ability to PINCH with his toes...and I mean REALLY pinch! It hurts...This morning, Camden decided to demonstrate the same ability! He pinched my stomach while I was trying to burp him!

David said he did the same thing to his arm last week...I guess we know who's toes they are after all :)

Now, on to the story of these pictures...We were both napping today and I rolled over to take a look at my baby and I see two toes...just sticking out through the holes in his blanket...

It was too cute...he only had one foot sticking out when I finally got the camera out, but I needed to share.

(ps...he says thank you to Elizabeth for making him such a beautiful blanket!)

medicine...

In the interest of keeping everyone updated, I just wanted to say, we started Camden on his reflux meds last night.

My new "Dairy Free Diet" has worked WONDERS for his fussiness. He is literally a TOTALLY different baby! However, he is still having some obvious issues with his reflux...moaning and groaning in his sleep and still unable to lay in his cradle at night...

So, I felt like it would be best to go ahead and get him started on the meds.

It was a rough night last night and has been a long day today...he just has not been sleeping much AT ALL!

Hopefully he'll be too worn out tonight to stay up...he's in the middle of his longest nap of the day now...He's been down for about 2 hours!

I'll keep you updated, as always.

"Meet the baby" party

We had a lovely (surprise) get together at G-Mom and Grandy's yesterday.
:) We all had a wonderful time, especially Camden.

He got to go swimming for the first time, and he got to meet his Aunt Theresa too. Not to mention he got some wonderful gifts. :)

Here are the pictures I have for now...

Mom was super excited about the Jazzy Toes socks!!!

Daddy was SUPER excited about the "Braves" outfits! (yeah, he got TWO)

Just so you know...

This is how Camden was sleeping in his sweetpeace the other day.

He's such a little man!
He's still doing really well. I'm still feeling like he's gonna end up needing the medicine, but for now, the formula is really helping loads.

I really miss sleeping in my bed, because I've been on the couch so I can be in the living room with him...so he can sleep in his sweetpeace.

He's a really good baby all over again and it's still a beautiful thing! :)

HAPPY BABY!

I have a happy baby again! I had honestly forgotten what it was like for him to just be content!

We had a wonderful night, he went right back to sleep after every feeding...and didn't wake up "for good" until 8:30!!! AMAZING...

He's sitting here next to me now, just looking around...he has given himself the hiccups, but other than that, he's doing SOOO well.

He is still having issues with my breast milk, it obviously doesn't make him feel as good as the formula does.

I'm working on the whole "eliminating milk thing"...I'm gonna have to go to the special grocery store to get some necessities... :(

p.s.

our little porker is up to 9 lbs. 4 oz.

:)

and I don't think I fully realized how challenging it is to cut dairy out of your diet...(not totally sure if I mentioned that earlier...it's supposed to help when your breastfeeding a baby that is having reflux issues)...but anyway, suddenly I've discovered I love all things dairy...and everything in my house, that I'm willing to eat has some form of dairy in it...I need to do some grocery shopping.

verdict is in...

Reflux...

The doctor said he could not have written a more text book description of reflux...

He explained why it happens and that it's pretty common in newborns. He didn't want to put him on meds just yet (but I know he's too severe...that'll be our next step). He changed the formula we are supplementing with and also said he has to remain upright 30 minutes after eating.

He also said to keep letting him sleep in his swing...so now I won't feel guilty about it!

We're gonna give it 5 days with this new formula and keeping him upright, but if there is no improvement by then, all we have to do is call and the Doc will call in his meds.

100...

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to do something special for your 100th post...but I'm just putting up random pictures!

Ben and Camden...so sweet

Camden playing on his mat

Warren decided to play on Camden's mat :)

They were posing together...just one INSTANT before I was able to snap the picture...Warren was ready to go!

Jessica got to feed him :)

slacker

I know I've been slacking...I am totally aware.

I'm also totally deserving of the time I have taken off.

Simply put, my baby has not been sleeping! Every time I lay him down in his cradle, no matter how asleep he is seconds before I put him down, he wakes up screaming. I don't mean crying, I mean screaming...bloody murder screaming! It doesn't subside, he continues to scream until I pick him back up.

It has made for some really rough days and nights lately.

I'm not sure what is wrong, but I know something isn't right. We are wondering if he might be having a problem with reflux. We have a doctor's appointment today so hopefully we'll have some answers.

From what I've read about reflux, one thing you can do is keep the baby's head elevated while they sleep...so, we tried something different. We put Camden in his Graco Sweetpeace to sleep. Oh sweet glorious sleep! We got sleep! It was amazing. He only woke up 3 times to eat and each time he went right back to sleep! I cannot tell you how wonderful that felt. I am not exaggerating when I say I had not had more than one hour of sleep at a time for the past 3 days.
I'll update again later...after the doctor.

shuttle launch...or not...

We went to the beach last weekend for the shuttle launch...we failed to get the memo that the launch had been canceled at midnight the night...
